Uttarakhand launches Manaskhand Corridor Yatra to promote Kumaon Region's Ancient Temples

The Uttarakhand tourism department, in partnership with Indian Railways, is launching the 'Manaskhand Corridor Yatra' to introduce travelers to the ancient temples of the Kumaon region. Starting from April 22, this initiative aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.

Exploring Manaskhand Temples

The tour package offers a 7-day, 6-night journey filled with spiritual exploration. Over 600 pilgrims will embark on a special train from Pune to Tanakpur in Pithoragarh district, where they will be guided to the renowned temples of 'Manaskhand.' These temples hold deep significance in Hindu scriptures, particularly in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.

Upon reaching Khatima, located approximately one kilometer from Tanakpur, the pilgrims will be transported to the temples via road. The journey is divided into two batches, with one train departing from Pune on April 22 and arriving at Khatima on April 24. The second train will leave Pune on April 24 and reach Khatima on April 26. Khatima has been chosen as the final stop due to its better amenities, including accommodations.
