Union Minister of Commerce, Piyush Goyal, announced the BJP Uttar Pradesh State President and National Council members at the Bharatiya Janata Party Uttar Pradesh’s  Sangathan Parv

Lucknow, December 14: Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is the world’s largest political organisation, and the global community is astonished by its disciplined and democratic functioning. 

He noted that the party’s structured membership process and the election of its national president through consensus and coordination are unparalleled. He was speaking at the official announcement programme of the newly elected state president and National Council members during the BJP’s Sangathan Parv held at Ram Manohar Lohia Law University, Ashiana, on Sunday.

Goyal highlighted that elections are conducted across 1.62 lakh booths, and the unanimous nature of the final announcements reflects the dedication and unity of party workers. 

He said, “The party’s steady growth, carried forward from the vision of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and guided today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda, has strengthened the organisation, which is evident from the large gathering at the event.

On the occasion of the Sangathan Parv, he expressed pleasure in announcing Pankaj Chaudhary as the unanimously elected State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttar Pradesh. He also announced the names of the newly elected National Council members, mentioning several prominent leaders among the total 120 members, and extended his best wishes to all those elected.

  • * A total of 120 members have been elected to the National Council, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
  • * Prime Minister Modi represents Varanasi, while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath represents Gorakhpur.
  • * Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is from Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from Prayagraj, and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak from Unnao.
  • * Other members include Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary (Sambhal), Smriti Irani (Sultanpur), Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey (Varanasi), Surya Pratap Shahi (Salempur), Swatantra Dev Singh (Banda), and Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi (Gorakhpur).
