Punjab: Fasttrack portal for investors to be rolled out today
Fasttrack portal for investors to launch today in Punjab
Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, along with former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, launched the FastTrack Punjab portal on Tuesday. This new online platform is aimed at helping investors get all their business approvals within 45 days of applying. It is part of the state government’s bigger plan to make Punjab a better and easier place to do business.
CM Mann said that this step is not just a small reform or a change in rules. He called it the beginning of a bigger movement where “ease of doing business” becomes part of Punjab’s work culture. The idea is to make starting and running a business in Punjab fast, transparent, and smooth. He explained that the FastTrack Punjab portal is not just a website or a tool—it is the backbone of a new way of running the industrial system in the state.
The CM explained that the goal is to shift from delays to discipline, from red tape to ready action. “We are replacing discretion with discipline, delay with digital, and confusion with clarity,” he said. This means the government wants to end the old way of working, where businesses had to run from office to office for approvals and face long waits. Now, things will move faster with digital technology, and decisions will be made on time and without confusion.
Quick clearances for investors
Through this portal, investors will be able to apply for multiple approvals and clearances online. All departments will be connected to this system, and they will have to give their decisions within a maximum of 45 days. This will help reduce the waiting period for businesses and attract more investments to Punjab.
CM Mann also said that Punjab is welcoming all types of investors—whether they are startup founders, first-time entrepreneurs, or large companies from India or abroad. “We offer not just incentives, but we also show our intention and integrity,” he said. This means the state is not only giving benefits like land or tax breaks but is also promising honest and timely support to businesses.
He added that earlier systems were reactive, meaning they responded only when problems happened. Now, with this new model, the state will work in a proactive way—taking early action, being accurate, and acting like a professional business partner.
The CM’s statements show that Punjab wants to change how things have worked in the past. Investors will no longer face uncertainty or unnecessary delays, and this will build trust among business owners. It will also help small business owners and new entrepreneurs who may not have the resources to deal with a slow system.

This new approach is expected to help Punjab grow as a major investment and industrial hub in India. The FastTrack portal is part of the broader vision to attract industries, create jobs, and make Punjab’s economy stronger. The CM said that by simplifying the process and cutting down on paperwork and delays, Punjab is setting an example for other states.
In the future, the state government is likely to introduce more digital tools and reforms to make business even easier. For now, the FastTrack Punjab portal marks an important beginning. It’s more than a website—it’s a symbol of change, showing Punjab’s promise to become a state that supports growth, innovation, and honest business practices.
With this launch, the state is clearly moving towards a more business-friendly environment, and if the system works as planned, it could bring in new investment, create employment, and help both big companies and small startups succeed.
