Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann celebrates birth of Baby Girl with second wife, shares first picture

Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, and his wife, Gurpreet Kaur, welcomed a baby girl on Thursday, marking their joyous occasion with a social media announcement and a photo of the newborn. Taking to social media, Bhagwant Mann joyfully shared the news of his daughter's birth, expressing gratitude for their health and well-being.

Family expansion

This newborn baby girl is Bhagwant Mann's third child, joining his two children from a previous marriage, a son and a daughter. In his posts, Mann, aged 50 and a former comedian and actor, shared a glimpse of his youngest child, prompting congratulations from numerous well-wishers.
Mann tied the knot with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur in 2022, following his separation from his first wife, Inderpreet Kaur, in 2015. His rise to prominence began with his appearance on the television show "Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2008.

Political career

Belonging to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mann assumed the role of Chief Minister of Punjab in March 2022 after his party's sweeping victory in the assembly elections. He earned this position through a public poll conducted by the AAP in the state.
Despite his political success, Mann faced criticism for the deaths of 20 individuals caused by the consumption of counterfeit alcohol in Punjab's Sangrur district. He visited Gujran village in Sangrur to offer condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. Moreover, Mann protested in Delhi against the arrest of his Delhi counterpart and AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, during his recent visit to the capital city.
