Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav joyfully welcomed a pair of Punganur cows, specially brought from Andhra Pradesh, to his residence. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's example, he named them Meera and Gopal.

In a heartwarming gesture, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared pictures of himself with the Punganur cows, expressing his delight at their arrival. He emphasized the significance of serving and nurturing these sacred animals, symbolizing prosperity and divine blessings.

The Punganur cow, renowned for its small stature and humped appearance, hails from Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district. Despite facing extinction, efforts led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have revived interest in conserving this unique breed across India.

Yadav underscored the importance of preserving indigenous cattle breeds, highlighting their cultural and ecological significance. Inspired by Prime Minister Modi's advocacy, initiatives are underway to safeguard and promote the Punganur cow breed nationwide.
