Twelve suspects named as UP cracks down on codeine syrup network

Uttar Pradesh authorities have taken strong action against the illegal trade of codeine-based cough syrup. On December 10, 2025, the state government announced that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the case had identified 12 main conspirators.
