UP attracts major Singapore investments
Uttar Pradesh secures Rs 1 lakh crore investment proposals during CM Yogi’s Singapore visit
Uttar Pradesh has received investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore from Singapore-based companies during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s official visit to Singapore. The Chief Minister shared this update on Tuesday, calling it a major boost for the state’s economic growth plans.
According to him, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth about Rs 60,000 crore have already been signed during the two-day visit. He said the state government is in talks with several global industry leaders and expects more partnerships in the future.
The Chief Minister is on a three-day visit to Singapore from February 22 to 24. The main aim of the trip is to deepen economic cooperation, attract foreign investment, and build institutional partnerships between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore.
Big push for aviation
One of the biggest announcements during the visit came from the aviation sector. Aviation services company AISATS signed a major MoU with the Uttar Pradesh government to invest Rs 4,458 crore at the upcoming Noida International Airport.
Officials said the investment will be used to build a modern cargo terminal complex and a world-class air catering kitchen. The catering unit will not only serve flights operating from Jewar airport but is also expected to supply meals to other airports across North India.
The project is expected to turn Jewar into a key aviation services hub in the region. It will also generate employment and strengthen logistics infrastructure in western Uttar Pradesh.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also met Kerry Mok, President and CEO of SATS Ltd. In his presence, the company signed an MoU for developing a global-standard cargo complex at Jewar airport along with a Taj SATS air catering facility.
The Uttar Pradesh government believes that these aviation projects will significantly improve cargo handling capacity and boost trade connectivity.

Focus on technology
Apart from aviation, the state government is also focusing strongly on technology and digital infrastructure. The Chief Minister held detailed discussions with Bruno Lopez, President and Group CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.
The talks focused on building hyperscale data centre infrastructure, strengthening digital ecosystems, and promoting sustainable technology investments in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said the state wants to position itself as a major data centre and IT hub in India.
During his visit, Yogi Adityanath also toured a world-class skilling centre in Singapore. He studied the employment zone model and said similar systems could be developed in Uttar Pradesh to improve job readiness among youth.
The Chief Minister also visited the SATS Changi Airport Logistics Hub to understand advanced cargo handling systems, cold chain logistics, and integrated supply chain operations. These learnings are expected to help the state improve its logistics planning.
He said the strong response from Singapore investors shows growing global confidence in Uttar Pradesh’s economic policies and infrastructure push. The state government has been actively promoting investment through policy reforms, improved law and order, and large infrastructure projects.
Officials believe that if these proposals convert into actual investments, they could create thousands of jobs and significantly boost industrial growth in the state.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to leave for Japan later as part of his broader international outreach. The government hopes that such visits will continue to attract foreign companies and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as one of India’s fastest-growing investment destinations.
For now, the Rs 1 lakh crore investment interest from Singapore marks a strong start to the state’s global investment drive.
