Successful Arrival of Inward Rake at Chhann Arorian Goods Shed

Jammu, 15 December  2025, A milestone was achieved in the logistics and trade history of Jammu and Kashmir when a 21 BCN cement rake from Bharatgarh Goods Shed of Ambala Division successfully arrived at Chhann Arorian Goods Shed today, December 15. This BCN rake was loaded with approximately 1384 tons of cement. This is the first time a goods train loaded with cement has arrived at Chhann Arorian Goods Shed, which will strengthen the local economy. The continuous operation of inward/outward rakes at this goods shed will usher in a new era of trade and logistics, benefiting businesses and traders.

On the successful arrival of the inward rake, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Shri Uchit Singhal, said, "This goods shed has become a major freight loading/unloading point for the railways, promoting the movement of grains, cement, and other materials. This will strengthen the food security and supply chain of the region."
The Jammu Division reiterated its commitment to improving freight transportation, ensuring faster, smoother, and more reliable cargo movement.
