PM Modi to launch 44 development projects during his 50th visit to Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on April 11, 2025. This visit is very special as it will be his 50th visit to the city. During the visit, he will launch 44 important development projects worth a total of ₹3,884.18 crore.

PM Modi will address a public meeting at Mehdiganj and will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for many key projects. Out of the 44 projects, 19 will be inaugurated, while 25 new projects will have their foundation stones laid.

Details of the Projects

According to Kashi region BJP president Dilip Patel, PM Modi will inaugurate 19 projects worth ₹1,629.13 crore. In addition, he will lay the foundation stone for 25 more projects worth ₹2,255.05 crore.

The projects include infrastructure development, roads, drinking water supply, education, and health. These are aimed at improving the lives of the people of Varanasi and making the city more modern and efficient.

For the Prime Minister's visit, strong security arrangements have been made. Varanasi’s police commissioner Mohit Agarwal said that a total of 4,000 security personnel will be deployed. This will include six Superintendents of Police (SP), eight Additional SPs, and 33 Deputy SPs (DSPs). Police forces, personnel from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and paramilitary jawans will all be on duty.

Police teams have already carried out full security checks in all areas where the Prime Minister is expected to travel or stay.

BJP workers and local leaders are making big efforts to welcome PM Modi in a grand way. According to Patel, more than 1,000 hoardings have been installed across the city to mark the Prime Minister’s 50th visit.

The roads, intersections, and the venue for the public meeting are being decorated with BJP flags, banners, and lighting. The aim is to create a festive and patriotic environment.

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, BJP leaders and workers have also started a cleanliness drive across the city. Kashi city BJP president Pradeep Agrahari said this visit is historic and they want to make it memorable for everyone. BJP workers and supporters are very excited about the Prime Minister’s arrival. Kashi region BJP spokesperson Navratan Rathi said thousands of party workers will participate in the event. Many will bring big cut-outs, posters, and welcome messages for the Prime Minister.

A party worker named Ashwini Pandey said, “This is a moment of great pride. PM Modi has visited Kashi 49 times so far and brought a lot of development to the city. His presence has completely transformed Varanasi.”

The entire city of Varanasi is getting ready to give a grand welcome to PM Modi. From flower decorations to giant banners, BJP workers are preparing every detail with care. The Mehdiganj public meeting is expected to attract thousands of people, including party members, supporters, and local residents.

The local administration is also working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. Temporary traffic changes and diversions have been announced for April 11 to manage the crowd and ensure safety.
