PM Modi: Congress adopts two-fold strategy for 2024 Elections

PM Modi alleges Congress employing dual strategies for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

During a public rally in Gujarat's Jamnagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress party of employing two strategies for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He claimed that the Congress aims to divide society along caste lines as their first strategy, and to unite their vote bank through appeasement politics as their second strategy. Modi further alleged that the Congress intends to alter the Constitution to allocate reservation benefits from SCs, STs, and OBCs to Muslims based on religion.

Modi's accusations:

Addressing the crowd, PM Modi asserted that the Congress party's primary focus in the elections is to divide society by caste and consolidate their vote bank through appeasement politics. He accused the Congress of seeking to amend the Constitution to grant reservation privileges to Muslims, thereby taking away the rights of SCs, STs, and OBCs.
Modi claimed to have posed three challenges to the Congress party, which he alleges have not been answered. Firstly, he challenged them to declare that they will not modify the Constitution to provide reservations based on religion. Secondly, he demanded written assurance that the Congress would not compromise the reservation rights of SCs, STs, and OBCs by reallocating them to Muslims. Lastly, he asked for assurance that Congress-led state governments would not pursue hidden agendas to grant reservations to Muslims.

Accusations against Congress leaders

During his speech, Modi accused Congress leaders of attempting to shield terrorists like Kasab following the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. He claimed that certain Congress leaders endorsed books aimed at exonerating such terrorists and even facilitated their publication.
The Lok Sabha elections for 2024 are being conducted in seven phases, with the third phase scheduled for May 7. In the initial phases, voting took place for MPs in various constituencies, with a total of 102 and 89 Lok Sabha seats contested in the first and second phases, respectively. In summary, Prime Minister Modi's allegations against the Congress party revolve around their alleged strategies of caste-based division and appeasement politics, as well as their purported intentions to amend the Constitution regarding reservations. He also accused Congress leaders of supporting terrorists and attempting to save them from legal consequences.
