Jammu Division Allots Multi-Purpose Stalls Through Record-Breaking Mega E-Auction
Jammu, 24 November 2025 – In a significant step towards boosting asset monetization and enhancing non-fare revenue, a mega e-auction was successfully conducted for the allotment of multi-purpose stalls across various stations of the Jammu Division.
This initiative was carried out under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Shri Uchit Singhal, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from all interested bidders.
In the e-auction results, multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at various railway stations, marking a strategic move towards improving passenger amenities and boosting local economic development.
Details of Multi-Purpose Stalls Allotted Under the E-Auction:
1. Multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at Platform 2/3 of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station. The rent fixed for the first year is approximately ₹25,00,000, and for five years, the total rent to be charged by the Railways is approximately ₹1,47,50,000.
2. Multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at Platform 1 of Pathankot Cantt Railway Station. The rent fixed for the first year is approximately ₹11,00,000, and for five years, the total rent to be charged by the Railways is approximately ₹64,95,310.
3. Multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at Platform 1 of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station. The rent fixed for the first year is approximately ₹6,55,888, and for five years, the total rent to be charged by the Railways is approximately ₹38,69,739.
4. Multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at Platform 1 of Sopore Railway Station. The rent fixed for the first year is approximately ₹2,67,786, and for five years, the total rent to be charged by the Railways is approximately ₹15,79,937.
5. Multi-purpose stalls were successfully allotted at Platform 1 of Anantnag Railway Station. The rent fixed for the first year is approximately ₹2,22,786, and for five years, the total rent to be charged by the Railways is approximately ₹13,14,437.
Through these multi-purpose stalls, the Railways is expected to generate a total revenue of ₹2,80,09,243 over five years. Beyond financial benefits, this initiative will introduce convenient and essential services at railway stations, enhancing the travel experience of passengers. Commuters will now have easy access to necessary items such as water bottles, food, magazines, soap, oil, children’s toys, and other essential goods.
Speaking on this successful e-auction, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Uchit Singhal said, “The e-auction conducted on 24 November 2025 has generated the highest revenue among all previous e-auctions. Along with increased revenue, these multi-purpose stalls will greatly benefit passengers by providing essential items conveniently, making their journey more comfortable and hassle-free, while also promoting local businesses.”
