IIM Bangalore's largest batch of 595 students secures record 650+ offers, consulting leads

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has achieved a big milestone in placements this year. The PGP and PGPBA Class of 2023-25, which includes 595 students, secured more than 650 job offers from 176 different companies. This is the largest batch in the history of IIM Bangalore, and it has set a new record in job placements.

Top career choices and industries

Management Consulting remained the most popular career choice for IIM Bangalore students. It accounted for 41% of the total offers. After consulting, the most sought-after career fields were Technology/Product Management and Investment Banking.

Apart from these, students were also hired in sectors like FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), Retail, E-commerce, Conglomerates, Fintech, Healthcare, and Manufacturing. Companies hired students for various roles such as strategy, finance, marketing, general management, product management, operations, and analytics.

IIM Bangalore shared the list of the top recruiters for the 2025 batch. Leading the list was Accenture Strategy, which made 75 offers. Other major recruiters included:

  • Boston Consulting Group – 25 offers
  • TCS Management Consulting – 24 offers
  • American Express – 20 offers
  • Bain & Company – 17 offers
  • PwC – 16 offers
  • McKinsey & Company – 14 offers

Management Consulting

The consulting sector had the highest number of offers, with 32 firms making a total of 245 offers. Some top names in this sector were:

  • Accenture ATCI, Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal
  • Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company
  • PwC, EY India, KPMG, Oliver Wyman

The tech sector saw 34 companies making 80 offers. Some major recruiters included:

  • Adobe, Microsoft, Google
  • Salesforce, Oracle, Capgemini
  • Pine Labs, ThoughtSpot, BrowserStack

The finance sector had 41 firms making 79 offers. Some top recruiters were:

  • Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., CitiBank
  • Barclays, Deutsche Bank, HSBC Bank
  • Kotak Mahindra Bank, Standard Chartered Bank

E-commerce and Logistics

19 firms from the e-commerce and logistics sector made 70 offers. Some key names were:

  • Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra
  • Zomato, Swiggy, PhonePe
  • Tata Play, Visa, Ola

The manufacturing sector saw 19 firms making 38 offers. Leading recruiters included:

  • Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel, Indian Oil Corporation
  • Tata Steel, Samsung Electronics, Lodha Group

In the FMCG sector, 16 firms made 37 offers. Major recruiters included:

  • Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Amul
  • Mondelez, Marico, Procter & Gamble

The conglomerate sector saw 8 firms making 23 offers. Some big names were:

  • Adani Group, Tata Administrative Services
  • Mahindra Group, Vedanta

In the healthcare and education sector, 8 firms made 23 offers. Some top recruiters were:

  • Sun Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories
  • Optum, Haleon

Successful placement season

The placement season at IIM Bangalore this year was a big success. The record number of job offers reflects the strong demand for IIM graduates in the job market. The variety of sectors and roles offered also shows the diverse skill set of IIM Bangalore students.

Management Consulting continues to be the most attractive sector for students, followed closely by technology and finance. The strong presence of leading global firms at IIM Bangalore’s placements highlights the institute’s reputation as one of the top business schools in India.
