Haryana to be manufacturing hub by 2047: CM Saini

Haryana aims to become a major manufacturing hub by 2047, says CM Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that the state aims to become a top manufacturing hub by the year 2047. This vision is part of a larger national goal of making India a developed country by the same year. He shared this plan during a post-budget consultation at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Manesar on Friday.

The chief minister highlighted that the state government has raised the industry and commerce budget by 129%. Now, ₹1,848.12 crore will be spent to support industrial growth. Saini said this move shows Haryana’s strong commitment to grow its manufacturing sector and strengthen the state’s economy.

He also said that Haryana has become one of the leading industrial states in India because of progressive policies that support both businesses and workers. Over the past ten years, these policies have helped attract industries and investments to the state.

At the same event, Haryana’s industry and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh also addressed the industrialists and shared updates about infrastructure works. He said that tenders have already been floated for repairing roads, upgrading sewage systems, and improving sanitation facilities in all industrial areas of the state.

The minister assured that work on these projects will start showing results in the next three months and is expected to be fully completed in six months. He said that these efforts will create a better environment for industries to grow and expand.

10 new industrial townships planned

Chief Minister Saini also shared that ten new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) will be developed. These will be like IMT Kharkhoda, which is already known for its industrial growth. The aim of these new IMTs is to make Haryana’s manufacturing base stronger and ready for future industrial needs.

To acquire land for these new IMTs, the state government is using the e-Bhoomi portal. This platform is designed to ensure that landowners get fair deals when they sell or partner with the government. The CM also said that the Land Pooling and Land Partnership Policy is being updated to ensure all landowners benefit equally.

“These industrial parks will be smart and world-class,” said Saini. “They will meet the current needs of businesses and will also be ready for the future.”

He also praised the state’s online single-window clearance system. This platform provides over 150 services from 40 different departments and ensures that business approvals are completed within 15 days. If there are any issues or mistakes, the system allows an extra 30 days for corrections.

The CM said that Haryana’s strong industrial sector can also be seen in its GST (Goods and Services Tax) collections. Haryana is currently ranked fifth in the country, which is proof of its strong economy and growing businesses. He gave credit to policies like the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy, 2020, for supporting industries and creating jobs.

Saini said that Haryana’s location is also a big advantage. Since the state borders Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, it has excellent transport and logistics connectivity. This makes it easier for companies to do business from Haryana.

Helping workers and startups

The CM also spoke about the steps being taken to help industrial workers. He announced that 300 Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteens will be opened in industrial clusters across the state. These canteens will provide affordable and nutritious meals to workers, improving their well-being.

In addition, the government is planning to help young entrepreneurs through new startup policies. Saini said that every industrial estate will have its own incubation centre. These centres will provide space, guidance, and funding to startups so that they can grow and succeed. The goal is to help new businesses get the support they need in their early stages.

Rao Narbir Singh added that a new industrial policy is in the works. This policy will focus on creating more jobs and helping industries grow in a sustainable way. He also said that the government is urging industries to adopt eco-friendly practices.

He called on industries to reduce their use of plastic and switch to environmentally friendly alternatives for packaging and daily work. Singh emphasized that taking care of the environment is just as important as economic development.

The CM and minister both said that the government is listening to the needs of industries and is ready to work with them to solve any issues. They encouraged industry leaders to give feedback and suggestions so that policies can be improved further.

They also noted that Haryana is already attracting global companies, and with better infrastructure, new industrial townships, and support for startups and workers, the state is ready to reach new heights in manufacturing.

Haryana’s push to become a manufacturing hub by 2047 includes smart planning, better infrastructure, eco-friendly goals, and strong support for both big industries and small startups. The CM said that with everyone's support, Haryana will play a major role in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
