Ahead of World Liver Day, doctors at PGIMER in Chandigarh dispelled common myths about liver health. They emphasized the importance of timely detection and treatment in managing liver diseases.

Debunking myths and emphasizing self-healing

Additionally, they clarified that liver disease isn't limited to heavy drinkers but can result from various factors like viral infections, obesity, and genetics.

Experts raised concerns about the effectiveness of liver supplements in preventing alcohol-related damage, warning about the lack of regulation in many products. Instead, they advocated for holistic approaches to liver health, including lifestyle adjustments and responsible alcohol consumption.
