BKU (Lakhowal) Extends Support to Chandigarh Farmers' Demand for Land Pooling Policy

Today, Mr. Harinder Singh Lakhowal, President of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Lakhowal), visited my residence in Sarangpur. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various issues concerning the farmers of Chandigarh.
While interacting with farmers and representatives, Mr. Lakhowal expressed his full support for the demand for a Land Pooling Policy being raised by the Chandigarh Rural Development Forum. He stated that such a policy is essential for safeguarding the rights, interests, and future of farmers whose lands are affected by urban expansion and development.
Mr. Lakhowal assured that Bharatiya Kisan Union (Lakhowal) stands firmly with the farmers of Chandigarh and will support their legitimate demands at every level. He emphasized that farmers should be made stakeholders in the development process and that progressive models such as Land Pooling Policy deserve serious consideration by the authorities.
The Chandigarh Rural Development Forum thanked Mr. Harinder Singh Lakhowal for his support and expressed confidence that this solidarity will further strengthen the movement for farmers' rights and equitable development.
