
Chandigarh sees rapid rise in Covid-19 cases
The Chandigarh administration has ordered the Rock Garden and Bird Park to be closed
The Rock Garden and the Chandigarh Bird Park were both closed following the closure of Sukhna Lake. The Rock Garden and Chandigarh Bird Park have been ordered closed by Chandigarh’s authorities.
The Chandigarh Administration has decided to close Rock Garden and Bird Park until further notice due to a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases.
Earlier, Sukhna Lake was shut down
All activities, including boating on Sukhna Lake, would be closed from Monday to Saturday, according to a supplemental order issued by the Chandigarh Administration. Only those walking between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., or 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., will be allowed to enter. The lake will be shut down on Sundays.
