In Himachal, if needed, a night curfew will be implemented: CM Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has said that if needed, the government will consider imposing a night curfew in the state. He said that the government would take a decision on this issue after discussing it for 2-3 days. He said that the government had imposed a night curfew earlier to prevent corona infection, but the subject was raised in the wrong way on social media. He said that in the new year, orders have been given to the administration to control the crowds in major tourist places in the state. He said that all hotels and home stays have also been asked to follow the covid-19 protocol.

Jai Ram Thakur, the state’s chief minister, has stated that, if necessary, the administration will consider imposing a night curfew. He stated that after 2-3 days of discussion, the government would make a decision on the matter.

While informally interacting with the journalists, he claimed that the government had previously enforced a night curfew to avoid corona infection, but an issue was created out of it and was brought up in an inappropriate manner on social media.

According to him, the government has been given orders to limit crowds in the state’s major tourist destinations as the New Year approaches, and all hotels and home stays have been asked to adhere to all COVID-19 regulations.
