Urvashi Rautela says a temple in Badrinath is named after her, wants another in South India

Urvashi Rautela, a famous Bollywood actress, recently made an interesting statement. She said that there is a temple named after her in Badrinath, Uttarakhand. She shared this news during a conversation with interviewer Siddharth Kannan.

Urvashi Rautela Talks About Her Temple in Badrinath

Urvashi said, “There is already a temple in my name. It is called Urvashi Mandir. When people go to visit the Badrinath Temple, right beside it, there is another temple named ‘Urvashi’.” Her words surprised Siddharth and he asked her again and again if she was serious. But each time, Urvashi confirmed her statement confidently, saying “Yes, there is an Urvashi Mandir there.”

The actress explained that people going on the Chaar Dham yatra can easily find her temple. It is located about a kilometre from the Badrinath shrine. When asked if people really treat it like a temple and offer prayers, she quickly replied, “Of course! It’s a temple, so they do all that.”

Many fans were surprised by her claim. It is rare for celebrities to have temples in their names. Only a few stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Nayanthara have fan-made temples dedicated to them. Urvashi now says she’s a part of this elite list.

Wants One in South Too

But having one temple is not enough for Urvashi. She now wishes to have a second one – this time in South India. The reason? Her career in the South Indian film industry is growing quickly. She has worked with several famous actors from the South and believes her fans there deserve a special place to honour her.

Urvashi said, “In just one and a half years, I have made my debut with megastar Chiranjeevi. Then I worked with Pawan Kalyan in two films. I also worked with Balayya Babu. So I feel like, just like these stars have temples, there should be something for my fans too, in the South.”

She said this idea is not just about fame, but also about giving her fans a place they can visit. “If work is happening in the South, then there should be a temple in the South too,” she added.

Her comments have created quite a buzz on the internet. Some fans are curious and excited about the idea, while others are still unsure if the temple in Badrinath is truly dedicated to her or just shares the same name.

For now, Urvashi seems proud of the temple and hopes to continue gaining love from fans all over the country.
