UP Assembly plans Interpretation System for better communication

Uttar Pradesh Assembly to implement Interpretation System for improved communication

In an effort to enhance accessibility and engagement, the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly plans to install an interpretation system. This system will allow visitors in the viewers’ gallery to listen to the proceedings of the House in their preferred language. Currently, the assembly conducts its proceedings in Hindi. Additionally, the assembly aims to educate young people about the legislative process through the establishment of a youth parliament.

Speaker's initiatives for enhanced engagement

Speaker Satish Mahana highlighted several initiatives aimed at improving public perception and participation in the legislative process. Region-wise meetings have been conducted with legislators, and now, similar gatherings are proposed for ministers and legislators in smaller groups. Furthermore, interactions between legislators and professionals from various fields, such as doctors, engineers, and corporate representatives, are planned to broaden perspectives and foster dialogue.
