No approval for sale of ‘Trikal’ whisky in Uttarakhand

Officials say no approval granted for sale of ‘Trikal’ whisky brand in Uttarakhand

Officials from the Uttarakhand Excise Department have made it clear that the sale and manufacture of a whisky brand named ‘Trikal’ have not been approved in the state. Recently, some social media posts have linked the ‘Trikal’ whisky brand with Uttarakhand, which is not true. The officials called this news “misleading and untrue.”

The Excise Commissioner of Uttarakhand, Harichandra Semwal, said in an interview that the ‘Trikal’ whisky has not been allowed to be made in the state. Also, the government has not given any permission for the registration or sale of this brand in Uttarakhand.

According to the officials, this fake news about the whisky brand is spreading on social media and causing confusion among people. The name ‘Trikal’ is sensitive because it hurts the religious feelings of many people in Uttarakhand. The Excise Department wants to protect the public interest, the government’s rules, and the cultural values of the people.

Action against false information

The officials said they are serious about stopping the spread of false information related to the ‘Trikal’ whisky brand. The Excise Department is working on filing a police case (FIR) against those who share wrong news about this matter.

The department’s main goal is to keep the public safe and maintain peace. They want to make sure that no one uses misleading news to cause trouble or hurt people’s feelings.

The controversy started because ‘Trikal’ is the name of the new whisky brand, and some people feel that the name is disrespectful to the religious traditions of Uttarakhand. The officials stressed that this brand is not connected to Uttarakhand in any way.

They also said that the whisky brand was launched in other states by a private company. However, it has no official permission to be sold or produced in Uttarakhand.

The Excise Department is carefully watching the situation. They said they will take strong action if any person or group continues to spread wrong news. This is to protect the culture and values of Uttarakhand and to stop any public unrest.

The officials urged everyone to verify facts before sharing news on social media. Spreading false information can cause misunderstandings and damage the state’s peace and harmony.
