ECI Invites Suggestions to Make ECINet Digital Platform More User-Friendly

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited citizens to actively participate in enhancing the usability and effectiveness of its newly developed ECINet digital platform by submitting their suggestions through the ECINet mobile application.

    1.    Public Participation Invited

Citizens are encouraged to download the ECINet App and share their feedback using the “Submit a Suggestion” tab available on the app. The suggestion window is open from 27 November 2025 to 27 December 2025.

    2.    Successful Trial During Elections

The trial version of the ECINet App was successfully deployed during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and recent bye-elections. The platform facilitated improved voter services, faster availability of polling percentage trends, and enabled publication of Index Cards within 72 hours of the close of polls, a process that earlier took several weeks or even months.
Learnings from these elections and feedback received from Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs), District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Observers, and field officials are being incorporated to further enhance the platform’s functionality.

    3.    Continuous Improvement & Official Launch

All suggestions received from users will be carefully examined, and necessary updates will be made to make the platform more user-friendly and robust. The official launch of the ECINet platform is planned for January 2026.

    4.    Vision and Leadership

Aimed at improving voter convenience and enhancing transparency in the electoral process through the use of technology, ECINet is one of the Commission’s major initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi.
Development work on the ECINet App commenced following its announcement on May 04, 2025

    5.    Single Unified Digital Platform

The ECINet App is a single, unified application for citizens, integrating over 40 earlier election-related applications and websites, including Voter Helpline App (VHA), cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends (Voter Turnout App), and Know Your Candidate (KYC) App, into one seamless interface.
The app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
