The CAT 2025 exam will be held on November 30, 2025, and the admit cards will be available to download from November 5 to November 30. The results are expected in the first week of January 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know if you plan to apply for CAT 2025.
Eligibility, exam cities, and fees
To apply for CAT 2025, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (graduation) from any recognized university or institution. They should have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in their degree. However, candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) need only 45% marks to be eligible.
There is no age limit for appearing in the CAT exam. Final-year students can also apply. However, they must provide proof of completing their degree at the time of admission if they get selected.
While filling the application form, candidates will need to choose five cities from a list of exam centres. One exam centre from the selected cities will be assigned depending on seat availability.
The application fees are as follows:
-
General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates: ₹2600
-
SC, ST and PWD candidates: ₹1300
The application fee must be paid online. Once paid, it is non-refundable, which means it cannot be returned even if a candidate changes their mind or is unable to attend the exam.
Candidates applying under reserved categories must upload valid caste or disability certificates during the registration process. Without valid documents, their application may be cancelled or rejected.
