A Historic Mandate of Public Trust

The results of the recently concluded municipal body elections in Haryana are more than an outcome of the counting of votes. The sweeping victory of all BJP candidates makes a ringing endorsement by the people of the policies pursued by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and religiously and rigorously implemented by the state government. Coming as it does after the BJP victory in the recent Assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam, the mandate spells grass-roots level acceptance of BJP’s thinking of taking the country forward under the leadership of our worthy Prime Minister. It is indeed a historic mandate of public trust for development. 

               Brushing into the bin the misleading Opposition propaganda, the people of Haryana have reposed their unwavering trust in the principles of development, transparency, and public service. More than an electoral victory, it is a strong reflection of public confidence, sense of satisfaction, and also expectations of continued growth. 
          As the counting progressed on May 13 indicating a sweeping win for the BJP candidates, it become clear that the people have prioritised stability, good governance, and continuity of development. The notable successes in Sonipat, Ambala, and Panchkula, along with widespread support across other municipal bodies, indicates that the public has endorsed a positive and result-oriented approach to governance. 

       The notable BJP success in the Sampla region of Rohtak district conveys an important message on the state’s political landscape. Long considered a pocket borough of a specific political influence, its mandate shows that the voters have moved beyond the traditional boundaries, and are now prioritising development, transparency, delivery and accountability. The election of Praveen Koch as the Municipal Committee Chairman in Sampla, along with the outcomes at the ward level, underscore this message.

    The guidance of Shri Narendra Modi ji has provided a new direction and momentum to the journey of development in the nation and the state. Under his leadership, we are steadily progressing towards good governance, self-reliance, and inclusive growth. Drawing inspiration from his vision and treading the path shown by him, Haryana too is setting new benchmarks of progress in varied fields.

       While the mandate does offer a cause for celebrations, it also casts additional responsibility on those chosen by the people. Not sitting on our laurels, we have to work hard to live up to their expectations and improve the living conditions in our cities and towns. They have stood by us and we have no choice but to stand by them. Let me assure the people of Haryana that their verdict will inspire their representative to deliver more and better.
