Students waiting for the ICSE and ISC board exam results will need to wait a little longer. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has confirmed that the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 results for 2026 will not be announced tomorrow, April 22.

A senior CISCE official clarified the matter after several claims on social media suggested that the results would be declared on Wednesday. The official said these viral reports were incorrect and students should not rely on unofficial messages.

According to the official update, the ICSE and ISC results are expected to be announced by the end of April. However, no final date has been officially released yet. Students are advised to regularly check the official CISCE websites for confirmed information.

Once declared, the results will be available online at the official portals cisce.org and results.cisce.org. Students will be able to check and download their scorecards from these websites.

Every year, lakhs of students across India appear for ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 examinations. As result season approaches, anxiety and excitement naturally increase. Because of this, rumours about result dates often spread quickly online.

Education experts advise students and parents to trust only official announcements made by CISCE. Depending on unofficial posts can create confusion and unnecessary stress.

The council usually announces the result date shortly before publishing the marks online. Students should keep their login details ready so they can access their scorecards quickly once results are released.

How to check ICSE and ISC results online

When the results are declared, students can visit the official websites and follow a few simple steps to check their marksheets.

First, open cisce.org or results.cisce.org. On the homepage, students will find links for ICSE Class 10 results and ISC Class 12 results. Click on the correct link according to your exam.

Next, students will need to enter their Unique ID, Index Number, and the captcha code shown on the screen. After submitting these details, the result will appear on the screen.

Students should carefully check all details mentioned in the scorecard, including their name, subjects, marks, and result status. After reviewing the marksheet, they should download the PDF copy and keep a printout for future use.

The online scorecard is important for admission processes until schools issue original marksheets. Students should store the downloaded copy safely.

CISCE also offers an SMS facility for students who may not have internet access at the time of result declaration. To receive the result by SMS, students can type ICSE or ISC followed by a space and their seven-digit Unique ID, then send it to 09248082883.

This method is useful when websites experience heavy traffic due to a large number of students checking results at the same time.

Students can also access digital copies of their marksheets through DigiLocker once they are made available. DigiLocker is a government-backed digital document platform where students can securely store official academic records.

To use DigiLocker, students need to sign in through the website or mobile app. After logging in, they can search for the board marksheet option and enter the required details to download the result.

Another option is the UMANG app, which also provides access to educational services and documents. Students can register on the app and follow the result link once activated.

Passing marks and advice for students

CISCE has clear minimum passing criteria for board exams. Students generally need at least 33 per cent overall marks to pass the ICSE and ISC examinations, while certain subject-wise minimum marks may also apply.

Students should remember that board results are important, but they are only one step in a longer academic journey. Whether the outcome is excellent, average, or disappointing, many future opportunities remain open.

Those waiting for college admissions after ISC results should keep researching application dates, entrance exams, and required documents. ICSE students can begin exploring streams such as science, commerce, humanities, or vocational courses based on their interests.

Parents are encouraged to support students calmly during the waiting period. Result anxiety is common, especially when rumours circulate online. A peaceful home environment can help students stay relaxed.

Students should avoid repeatedly checking unofficial websites or social media pages claiming inside information. Only CISCE can confirm the official result date.

If the results are expected by the end of April, an announcement may come soon. It is best to stay prepared by keeping login details ready, ensuring internet access, and checking the official websites once or twice daily.

Teachers also advise students to use this waiting period productively. They can organise documents, research future courses, improve skills, or simply take a healthy break after exam stress.

Board exams often feel like a major milestone, and they are important. But they do not define a student’s full potential. Many successful careers are built through continuous learning and effort after school.

For now, the key update is clear: ICSE and ISC results 2026 will not be announced tomorrow. Students should ignore viral claims and wait for the official CISCE notice.

Once the final date is announced, results will be available through the official websites, SMS, DigiLocker, and UMANG platforms. Until then, patience and accurate information remain the best approach.
