More than 6,000 workers from Uttar Pradesh are currently living and working in Israel amid ongoing tensions in the region. According to officials, all these workers are safe, and the state government is keeping a close watch on their situation.
The government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has taken several steps to ensure the safety and well-being of these workers. Officials said that they are in regular contact with Indian embassy authorities in Israel and are receiving continuous updates.
The situation in Israel has created some concern due to reports of conflict and missile attacks. However, authorities have assured that Indian workers, especially those from Uttar Pradesh, are safe and continuing their daily lives.
The Uttar Pradesh government is working closely with the Indian Embassy in Israel to track the condition of workers. The Principal Secretary for Labour and Employment, Dr Shanmuga Sundaram, is in constant touch with embassy officials.
He has been regularly speaking with JP Singh, India’s Ambassador to Israel. Through these conversations, the state government is getting real-time information about the workers.
According to official updates, all Indian workers are safe and there have been no major problems reported so far. The ambassador has confirmed on several occasions that there is no immediate danger to Indian citizens.
Another official, Dr Garika Tejeswar, who serves as First Secretary at the Indian Embassy, has also confirmed that the workers are safe. She stated that no serious incidents involving workers from Uttar Pradesh have been reported.
The embassy is also staying in regular contact with the workers and ensuring that their needs are met. Officials said that the workers are following safety guidelines issued by local authorities in Israel.
Interestingly, some workers from Uttar Pradesh recently hosted visiting journalists from India. This shows that many of them are continuing with their normal activities despite the tense situation.

Officials said that similar arrangements can be made for workers from Uttar Pradesh if they decide to come back. The government has assured full support in such cases.
To provide additional help, a call centre run by Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority is available for Indian workers. This helpline offers support in different languages and helps workers with their concerns.
The Indian Embassy has also set up a control room to handle emergencies. So far, no distress calls or emergency alerts have been received from workers. This indicates that the situation is stable for them.
The Uttar Pradesh government has clearly stated that the safety of its workers abroad is a top priority. It has assured that it will continue to monitor the situation closely and take quick action if required.
Officials also mentioned that although there are reports of missile attacks in some areas, the daily lives of Indian workers have not been heavily affected. Most workers are staying in safe locations and following instructions from local authorities.
