Tandon vows Economic Growth for Chandigarh

Tandon pledges to ignite Chandigarh's economic renaissance

In a significant move ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh candidate Sanjay Tandon unveiled the party's national manifesto titled "Sankalp Patra." The manifesto, launched on Thursday, outlines key policy priorities and promises aimed at steering the city towards a new era of economic growth and development.

Manifesto highlights development and growth agenda

Emphasizing on the core principles of development, economic growth, infrastructure expansion, and job creation, Tandon highlighted the manifesto's commitment to fostering progress in Chandigarh. The "Sankalp Patra" envisions a Chandigarh that thrives on robust economic foundations, ensuring prosperity and opportunities for all its residents.

Tandon expressed confidence in the manifesto's potential to resonate with voters and propel the BJP to victory in over 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the manifesto's focus on national security, defense modernization, agricultural reforms, and initiatives to double farmers' income while enhancing rural infrastructure.

Additionally, the manifesto pledges to prioritize improvements in healthcare, reforms in education, and the promotion of cultural heritage. Tandon described the document as a comprehensive roadmap for progress and prosperity, designed to fulfill the aspirations of the Indian populace.

Economic Schemes and Housing Initiatives

Chandigarh BJP president Jatinder Pal Malhotra underscored the significant strides made in highway infrastructure under the Modi government. He emphasized the manifesto's commitment to further elevate infrastructure development, projecting a substantial boost in GDP growth through economic schemes outlined in the "Sankalp Patra."

Malhotra highlighted the manifesto's pledge to prioritize housing for the poor, with plans to construct an additional 3 crore houses for those in need. This ambitious initiative aims to address housing shortages and improve living standards for millions of citizens, underscoring the BJP's commitment to inclusive development.

Valmiki community support and appreciation

Tandon also received support from the Valmiki community, who expressed gratitude for welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Interacting with members of the Valmiki community in Ram Darbar, Tandon highlighted Modi's efforts in developing pilgrimage sites related to Babasaheb and conferring Bharat Ratna on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from various sections of society, Tandon affirmed his commitment to representing the interests of all constituents and championing their causes on the national stage.
