*Mann Government’s Public Welfare Initiative: Dr. Balbir Singh Conducts Surprise Inspection of Health Centers in Fatehgarh Sahib*

Chandigarh, December 9, 2025: Taking another significant step towards ensuring better healthcare services for the public, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Dr. Balbir Singh conducted a surprise inspection of various health centers in Fatehgarh Sahib district under Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann government. This inspection is part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s vision which emphasizes providing quality medical facilities to patients in government hospitals and health centers. During this visit, Dr. Singh assessed the medical staff, availability of medicines, and facilities being provided to patients.

During the surprise inspection, MLA Dr. Balbir Singh held detailed discussions with all concerned officers and medical staff. He directly interacted with patients to understand what kind of problems they are facing and whether facilities are being made available on time. Dr. Singh said that the Mann government’s objective is to ensure that every citizen receives the best healthcare services without any discrimination and that government hospitals have facilities comparable to private hospitals.

The Punjab government has made several significant improvements in the health sector over the past few months. Under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, initiatives like the Mohalla Clinic scheme, Aam Aadmi Clinics, and arrangement of modern equipment in primary health centers have been launched. The purpose of these schemes is to provide better medical facilities to common citizens close to their homes so they don’t have to travel far for treatment. Regular inspections and ensuring accountability in this direction is the government’s priority.

During the inspection, Dr. Balbir Singh also ensured that proper cleanliness is being maintained at health centers and patients are not facing any kind of inconvenience. He instructed medical personnel to be fully dedicated to their duties and treat patients with sensitivity. The MLA said that whatever shortcomings have been found, instructions will be issued to the concerned department to remove them immediately.

Local people have appreciated MLA Dr. Balbir Singh’s surprise inspection. Many patients and their relatives said that such inspections lead to improvements in health centers and employees become more alert towards their responsibilities. A patient’s relative said, “This government is truly working for the people. When leaders themselves come and listen to our problems, we feel confident that our voice is being heard.”

The Mann government has taken significant steps in education, employment, and infrastructure development along with healthcare services. The government believes that serving the public is real politics and transparency and accountability are being ensured in every department with this principle. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made it clear several times that his government will not tolerate any kind of corruption or negligence.

MLA Dr. Balbir Singh said that such surprise inspections will continue in the future to ensure that the benefits of government schemes are reaching the ground level. He appealed to the public that if anyone faces any problem in any government department, they should not hesitate to file their complaint. The government takes every complaint seriously and is committed to resolving them.
