Marriage is one of the most important decisions in a person's life. Many people often wonder when they will get married and whether there is a perfect time for marriage. While some people believe that marriage depends mainly on circumstances, family choices and personal decisions, others look at systems like astrology and numerology for guidance.

According to numerologist and Vastu coach Arviend Sud, numerology may provide clues about periods in life that are considered more supportive for relationships, commitment and marriage. He believes that every person moves through different life cycles, and some years may be more favourable for finding a partner or taking a relationship to the next level.

Sud explains that two important numbers are used in numerology to understand marriage timing. These are the Driver Number and the Personal Year Number.

The Driver Number is calculated using only the date of birth. The month and year of birth are not included in this calculation. For example, if someone is born on the 19th of a month, the digits are added together: 1 + 9 = 10, and then 1 + 0 = 1. Therefore, the Driver Number becomes 1.

Similarly, a person born on the 28th would calculate 2 + 8 = 10 and then 1 + 0 = 1, making their Driver Number 1 as well.

According to numerology, the Driver Number reflects a person's basic personality, strengths, natural behaviour and life path. It is considered one of the most important numbers in a numerology chart.

The second number used is the Personal Year Number. This number changes every year and is believed to show the type of energy a person may experience during a specific year.

To calculate the Personal Year Number, a person adds their birth date, birth month and the current year. The resulting digits are then reduced to a single number. Numerologists believe that this number can indicate whether a particular year is suitable for major life events such as marriage, career changes or new beginnings.

According to Sud, marriage-related opportunities may become stronger during certain Personal Year Numbers, depending on an individual's Driver Number.

Favourable years for different driver numbers

Sud says that different Driver Numbers are believed to work best with different Personal Year Numbers. Because of this, the same marriage timing may not be suitable for everyone.

For people with Driver Number 1, including those born on the 1st, 10th, 19th and 28th, Personal Years 1, 4, 5 and 6 are considered favourable for marriage. These years are believed to bring stronger opportunities for commitment and relationships.

People with Driver Number 2, born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th and 29th, are said to have better marriage prospects during Personal Years 1, 3, 5 and 6.

For Driver Number 3, which includes birth dates 3, 12, 21 and 30, Personal Years 1, 3 and 5 are considered supportive for marriage. According to Sud, Personal Years 6 and 9 are generally less favourable for these individuals.

Those with Driver Number 4, born on the 4th, 13th, 22nd and 31st, may find Personal Years 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 more suitable for marriage. Personal Years 2 and 9 are usually avoided.

People born on the 5th, 14th and 23rd fall under Driver Number 5. Numerology suggests that Personal Years 1, 5, 6 and 7 may bring better marriage opportunities. Personal Year 9 is often considered less suitable.

For Driver Number 6, which includes birth dates 6, 15 and 24, Personal Years 1, 5, 6 and 7 are believed to be favourable. Sud also suggests donating white items on Fridays as a traditional remedy. Personal Year 3 is generally considered less supportive for marriage.

People with Driver Number 7, born on the 7th, 16th and 25th, are believed to benefit from Personal Years 1, 5, 6 and 8. Personal Years 7 and 9 are usually avoided when considering marriage.

For Driver Number 8, which includes those born on the 8th, 17th and 26th, Personal Years 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are considered favourable. Personal Years 1 and 2 are generally not recommended.

Finally, people with Driver Number 9, born on the 9th, 18th and 27th, may experience stronger marriage prospects during Personal Years 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7. Personal Year 2 is generally considered less suitable.

Sud believes that delayed marriage does not always mean bad luck or obstacles. According to his interpretation of numerology, it may simply mean that a person has not yet reached the most favourable phase in their life cycle.

He explains that different people experience relationship opportunities at different times because their numerological patterns are different. Understanding these cycles, he says, may help people gain greater clarity about relationships and long-term commitments.

However, it is important to remember that numerology is based on personal beliefs and spiritual interpretations rather than scientific evidence. There is no scientific proof that Driver Numbers or Personal Year Numbers can accurately predict marriage timing.

Even so, many people continue to find numerology interesting because it offers an alternative way of looking at life events. For those who follow numerology, these number patterns may provide guidance, confidence and a sense of direction when making important decisions about relationships and marriage.

Ultimately, whether one believes in numerology or not, successful relationships depend on understanding, trust, compatibility, communication and mutual respect. Timing may play a role in life, but personal choices and meaningful connections remain at the heart of every successful marriage.
