
Chandigarh, May 11, 2026: The Medical Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh organized a free TB nutrition kit distribution program today at RHTC Palsora and CHC Dispensary Daddu Majra with the objective of advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a TB-Free India. Chandigarh BJP President Jitender Pal Malhotra attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Jitender Pal Malhotra stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a TB-Free India is not merely a government campaign but a commitment towards ensuring a healthier future for every citizen of the nation. He emphasized that providing nutritious and protein-rich food to the underprivileged is a collective social responsibility. He further said that the BJP Chandigarh Medical Cell has been continuously serving TB patients for the last five months by providing free nutrition kits and setting an inspiring example of service and humanity.
He added that the participation of social organizations and socially conscious citizens is extremely important in building a healthy India. In this spirit, Rajasthan Parivar President Raj Kishore and his team also demonstrated exemplary social commitment by distributing protein-rich nutrition kits to TB patients. Their humanitarian contribution and dedication towards public welfare were widely appreciated by all present at the event.
During the program, nutrition kits were distributed to TB patients in the presence of State TB Officer Dr. Navneet Kanwar, Dr. Mala (In-charge, Daddu Majra Dispensary), Dr. Anita Chauhan (Officer, Centre TB Division), Medical Cell Convener Lalit Takkiar, District President Rekha Sood, Co-Convener Deepak Pathak, Anu Singla, Dr. Meena Chaddha, and Sanjay Arora.
The doctors and BJP office bearers present on the occasion also appealed to society’s capable sections to actively participate in such public welfare initiatives so that the goal of a TB-Free India can be achieved at the earliest.
