Chandigarh: The Government of India has issued a Gazette Notification appointing Shri R. S. Verma, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as a Member of the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Haryana.
Shri R. S. Verma holds BA, LLB, and MBA degrees and has an illustrious administrative career spanning over 32 years in the Government of Haryana. During his long and distinguished service, he has held several key and sensitive positions and made significant contributions to public administration and environmental governance.
He has previously served as Director, Environment, Special Secretary, Environment, and Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak, among many other important administrative posts in the state government. His vast experience in administration, law, management, and environmental matters is expected to strengthen the functioning of SEIAA, Haryana.
The appointment has been made as per the provisions laid down by the Government of India, and the official Gazette Notification has been issued in this regard.
The Government has expressed confidence that Shri R. S. Verma’s experience, integrity, and in-depth understanding of environmental and administrative issues will contribute significantly to effective environmental appraisal and sustainable development in Haryana.
