Lucknow, November 21: Under the theme “Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat,” Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, will host a landmark event from November 23 to 29, 2025. Renowned for its rich culture and world-class hospitality, the city will witness the grand finale of the 19th National Jamboree and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Over 30,000 Scouts and Guides cadets from India and abroad will gather at the Defence Expo Ground, Vrindavan Yojana, experiencing the city’s heritage and hospitality firsthand. The event will celebrate youth energy, discipline, and innovation, while showcasing India’s cultural pride and development. Highlights include the first-ever drone show, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub, and a mini Global Village, along with regional culinary delights from Lucknow, Banaras, Purvanchal, and Bundelkhand.

Approximately 32,000 Indian and 1,500 international participants will take part in the Jamboree. Spread across 300 acres, the venue features 3,500 tents, 2,200 toilets, 1,700 bathrooms, over 100 kitchens, a 30,000-capacity stadium, 12 entrances, state-of-the-art LED screens, and a VVIP gallery with German hangars, ensuring a truly global experience. Safety and convenience are prioritized with a police control room, fire station, 100-bed hospital, and 16 dispensaries, along with administrative offices, conference halls, exhibition areas, and an overseas cafeteria.

Exhibitions and innovation will be at the heart of the Jamboree. Initiatives like the Global Village, Army Exhibition, Air Agniveer Exhibition, UP ODOP Expo, and Robotics & Electronics Exhibition will inspire youth. The newly introduced IT and AI Hub will expose participants to leadership, innovation, and Digital India initiatives.

Adventure and recreation are integral to the event, with activities such as high rope courses, sky cycling, zipline, wall climbing, commando bridge, archery, shooting, zorbing, and selfie points designed to build teamwork, confidence, and discipline.

Aligned with sustainability goals, this year’s Jamboree is a “Green and Clean” event. Initiatives include scientific disposal of plastic and wet waste, e-carts, the Green Warriors program, and the Green Pledge Wall, promoting environmental responsibility.

Several first-time initiatives will enhance the experience: a two-day drone show marking 75 years of Scouting, RFID smart ID cards for safety and transparency, a WhatsApp network for real-time updates, the paperless e-magazine “Yuvamberi”, and skill workshops on AI, technology, and leadership. 24x7 CCTV surveillance ensures security throughout the campus.

The Uttar Pradesh government will reimburse food expenses for all participants, making the event inclusive and encouraging wider participation.
The 19th National Jamboree is more than an event; it is a living embodiment of “Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat,” connecting the nation’s youth with self-reliance, innovation, environmental stewardship, and cultural pride, while charting a path for India’s future.
