
Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday morning at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after battling for life for 11 days. Hospital authorities confirmed his death at 10:55 am, stating that despite extensive medical care, he succumbed to multiple organ failure caused by severe spinal and brain injuries. Jawanda had been admitted on September 27, 2025, in a critical condition following a road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. His motorcycle collided with stray cattle that suddenly appeared on the road, causing life-threatening injuries.
The accident left Jawanda on a ventilator, with doctors monitoring his condition closely. Fortis Hospital released a statement detailing the efforts of the critical care and neurosurgery teams, who worked tirelessly to stabilize him. Despite their round-the-clock support, the singer could not recover from the injuries. The cremation is scheduled to take place in his native village, Pona, in Jagraon tehsil of Ludhiana district, at 11 am on October 9.
