Chandigarh, September 25, 2025: The Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), Chandigarh, organized a special lecture for general school teachers on September 25, 2025, at its Conference Hall, under the Seva Pakhwada 2025 initiative.
The program focused on building the capacity of teachers from various schools across Chandigarh, with emphasis on Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Ajeet Sidana, Joint Director, GRIID, followed by an insightful presentation on PBIS delivered by Dr. Bibhakar Vishwakarma, Technical Supervisor, GRIID. Over 30 school teachers and counsellors from different educational institutions participated in the session.
A panel discussion was also organized to address teachers’ queries on managing behavioural concerns among children. The panel comprised Ms. Vandana Singh, Principal, GRIID School; Dr. M. Karuppasamy, Course Coordinator; Mr. Anil Kumar, Senior Special Educator; Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Senior Special Educator; and Dr. Bibhakar Vishwakarma. The experts shared practical strategies to help teachers foster positive and inclusive classroom environments.
The program concluded with final remarks and a vote of thanks by Ms. Vandana Singh, Principal, GRIID School.
