A tragic case in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, has now taken a serious twist. A 32-year-old man named Aarish, who was married just four months ago, died under mysterious circumstances. Initially, his death was seen as a suicide. But now, his mother has accused his wife of being responsible and has filed a complaint with the police.

The incident took place in Mohammadpur Rustampur village, where Aarish lived with his family. On August 8, he was found with gunshot wounds inside his room. Family members rushed him to the hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he passed away in Meerut. His death has devastated his family, especially his mother, who says she lost her only son so soon after his marriage.

According to reports, Aarish had frequent arguments with his wife, Rahima. She is from Bijnor and married Aarish on April 25, 2025. The family claims that since the marriage, Rahima often said she had been “forced into the marriage” by her relatives and was unhappy living with them. This, they believe, caused constant quarrels between the couple.

The mother has now alleged that Rahima killed Aarish after a fight. She submitted a written complaint to the police a week after his death, demanding action against her daughter-in-law. Based on her complaint, the Bahadurgarh police registered a case of murder under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Rahima. The case is being investigated further.

Events on the night of the incident

On the night of August 8, the family said they were asleep when they suddenly heard the sound of a gunshot coming from Aarish’s room around 12:30 am. His mother and sister rushed to the spot and found the room locked from the inside. They knocked repeatedly, and after a short time, Rahima, his wife, opened the door. Inside, Aarish was lying on the floor, bleeding heavily.

He had been shot with his grandfather’s licensed revolver, which was kept in the house. The family immediately tried to save him by taking him to a nearby hospital. Because his condition was very critical, doctors referred him to Meerut for further treatment. Sadly, he did not survive and was declared dead upon arrival.

Initially, the incident was treated as a case of suicide. Police believed that Aarish had used the revolver to shoot himself at close range. But his mother’s complaint has now changed the direction of the case. She has strongly claimed that her daughter-in-law had quarreled with him earlier that evening and could have killed him in anger.

In her FIR, the mother described the situation in detail. She said that after the gunshot, her daughter-in-law delayed opening the door, which made her even more suspicious. She believes that Rahima, who was unhappy with the marriage, may have killed her son after a heated argument. The mother also said that her daughter-in-law had repeatedly told everyone that her family forced her into the marriage against her will.

Police investigation underway

The police have confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is in progress. Bahadurgarh Police Station in-charge, Manoj Baliyan, stated that serious facts have come forward during the inquiry. He assured that all aspects of the case will be examined carefully, and necessary legal action will be taken.

The investigation will now focus on several important questions: Did Aarish really die by suicide, or was it a case of murder? Was there enough evidence inside the room to prove what exactly happened? Did the daughter-in-law have a role in his death, or was she being wrongly accused out of family disputes?

The case has shocked the local community as well, since Aarish was known to be the only son of his family. His sudden death just four months after marriage has left the entire household shattered.

For now, the mother continues to insist that her son was killed and has demanded strict punishment for her daughter-in-law. The police will gather evidence, question family members, and analyze the circumstances of the night to reach a conclusion. Until then, the truth behind the tragic death of Aarish remains unclear.
