Jharkhand’s Education Minister, Ramdas Soren, has been taken to Delhi for urgent medical treatment after suffering a serious brain injury. The incident happened early on Saturday morning when he reportedly slipped and fell in the bathroom at his house in Jamshedpur. Following the fall, he was admitted to a local hospital where doctors found that he had a blood clot in his brain. His health condition is said to be critical.

According to Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, Soren’s condition worsened suddenly after the fall. He said that doctors at the hospital in Jamshedpur discovered signs of a brain haemorrhage caused by a sudden increase in pressure inside the brain. This made the situation very serious, and the decision was made to airlift him to Delhi for better treatment.

“Soren was immediately admitted to a hospital in Jamshedpur, and after examining him, the doctors informed us about internal bleeding in his brain. Due to the seriousness of his condition, we decided to shift him to Delhi,” said Ansari. He added that he is in constant contact with Soren’s family and is personally monitoring his condition.

Leaders hopeful of his recovery after transfer to Delhi

Former Union minister and senior BJP leader Arjun Munda was present at Sonari airport in Jamshedpur when Soren was being airlifted. He told the media that he had spoken with the Director of Apollo Hospital in Delhi and was assured that the medical team was ready to start treatment as soon as the minister arrived.

“Soren has suffered a brain haemorrhage due to high pressure. The situation is very critical, but we are hopeful that he will recover with proper treatment,” Munda said. He also offered his support to the minister’s family during this difficult time.

A video clip circulating on social media showed Soren being moved from an ambulance to the aircraft on a stretcher. Security personnel and health officials were seen making arrangements to ensure a smooth and quick transfer.

As of now, no official medical bulletin has been released from Apollo Hospital in Delhi. However, sources said that doctors have begun emergency checks and treatment upon his arrival.

Background of the minister

Ramdas Soren is an important leader in Jharkhand and represents the Ghatshila constituency. He is a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and has been active in state politics for several years. As Education Minister, he has worked on policies to improve schooling and higher education in tribal areas. His sudden illness has caused concern among political leaders across party lines.

Many political leaders, including those from the ruling alliance and the opposition, have expressed concern about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. Social media is also filled with messages from citizens praying for his well-being.

At the moment, his health remains critical, and the next 24 to 48 hours will be crucial. Medical experts are expected to give a detailed report on his condition once they complete all necessary tests and observations.

The incident has also led to questions being raised about the availability of advanced emergency medical care in cities like Jamshedpur. Some local citizens and political voices have stressed the need to upgrade medical infrastructure in Tier-2 cities so that such critical cases can be handled without delays.

Ramdas Soren’s health will continue to be closely watched in the coming days, and the state government has promised to provide all necessary help and support to ensure his full recovery.
