Indian cricketer Yash Dayal has received a big relief from the Allahabad High Court. On Tuesday, the court stopped the police from arresting him in a case related to alleged sexual exploitation. The 27-year-old player, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL and represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, had filed a petition asking for protection from arrest.

The case was filed after a woman from Ghaziabad accused him of exploiting her emotionally, mentally, and physically over five years. According to the police, Dayal was booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which is part of the new criminal law code. The FIR was registered at the Indirapuram Police Station based on a complaint made by the woman on June 21. She had submitted her complaint through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online portal called IGRS.

In his petition, Dayal strongly denied having a physical relationship with the woman under any false promise of marriage. He said the two were just friends and never had any romantic or sexual relationship based on any promises. However, he did mention that his family treated her with respect, almost like a daughter-in-law, due to their long-term friendship.

Dayal also added that he never tried to cheat or harm the woman. He claimed that her behavior began to change with time, and that’s when he realized he could not marry her. He maintained in court that there was no commitment from his side, and their connection was based on mutual understanding and trust.

Woman claims she was promised marriage and later mistreated

On the other hand, the woman who filed the case made serious allegations in the FIR. She claimed that she was in a five-year-long relationship with Yash Dayal. According to her, Dayal emotionally, physically, and mentally exploited her by promising marriage. She said he behaved like her husband, introduced her to his family, and built her trust over the years.

The woman said she agreed to be in the relationship because she believed they would eventually get married. But she alleged that when she found out the promise was false and tried to speak up, Dayal mistreated her. She claimed that he even used physical force and mentally harassed her when she protested.

The FIR stated: “For the past five years, the complainant had been in a relationship with a cricketer. The man emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her by misleading her with the promise of marriage. He introduced the complainant to his family and behaved like a husband, which made her trust him completely. When the complainant realized the deception and protested, she was subjected to physical violence and mental harassment.”

The police had filed the FIR on July 6. Following this, Yash Dayal went to the Allahabad High Court seeking legal protection. His lawyer argued that the cricketer was innocent and the case was being used to harass him. Based on the information presented by both sides, the court decided to stay Dayal’s arrest until further notice.
The stay on arrest does not mean that the case is closed. The investigation will continue. Both Yash Dayal and the woman will be asked to share more details and evidence. The police and the court will decide what really happened based on facts.

For now, the High Court’s order means Dayal will not be arrested, giving him temporary relief. However, the final outcome of the case will depend on the investigation and future court hearings.

Yash Dayal has not spoken publicly about the case so far. The situation has drawn attention from fans and people across the country, especially since he is a known cricketer. It remains to be seen how the case will move forward in the coming weeks.

As of now, the court has only provided a stay on his arrest, not a clean chit. The truth behind the claims will come out after a full legal process is completed.
