The state of Haryana is planning something very big and exciting. A Disneyland-style theme park will soon be built in the National Capital Region (NCR), near Manesar, Gurugram. This will be the first such amusement park in India, and the goal is to boost tourism, economy, jobs, and development.
Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the plan after a meeting with Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Delhi. According to CM Saini, the theme park will not just benefit Haryana but also have a positive impact on the entire country.
He called the park a "game-changer", saying it would bring economic, cultural, and social growth to the state and the region. The project will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, help develop modern infrastructure, and completely change the nearby areas.
The Haryana government has already identified 500 acres of land near Pachgaon Chowk in Manesar for the mega theme park. This area lies along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). These two major transport routes will make it easy to reach the park from any part of NCR.
The location also connects well with:
Delhi-Gurugram Expressway
Dwarka Expressway
These excellent connections make Manesar a perfect spot for building such a large entertainment centre.
CM Saini explained that Gurugram plays a major role in Haryana's economy. It is home to many Fortune 500 companies and contributes a big part of the state’s revenue. The city also has modern infrastructure and is already a popular business hub.
The area is also developing fast. The upcoming 1,000-acre Global City project, being built on a walk-to-work concept in sectors 36 to 37B, will further improve the region’s status. The Disneyland-style park will add to this growth and make the area a major tourist and business destination.

The Haryana government plans to collaborate with a famous international animation brand to build the park. This will make the park similar to Disneyland in terms of design, attractions, and experience.
It will be the first such park in India to follow the Disneyland model. Earlier this year, the Maharashtra government also announced a similar plan to build a theme park in Navi Mumbai, but Haryana may be the first to bring the idea to life.

Expand the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra
Organise the Surajkund Mela three times a year, instead of just once
These efforts aim to promote Haryana’s rich culture and traditions and attract global tourists.

World-class rides and roller coasters
Themed areas based on animated characters
Entertainment shows
Restaurants and food courts
Shopping zones

With this Disneyland-style project and other tourism festivals, CM Saini said Haryana is aiming to become a top tourist destination in India. The state wants to attract not just Indian travellers but also international visitors.
He added that tourism is not just about fun. It is also a strong tool for job creation, economic development, and promoting local culture. With the right planning and promotion, Haryana could soon become as popular as other top Indian tourist spots.
The Chief Minister met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to discuss the project in detail. The Centre is expected to offer support and guidance. The plan fits well with the national goal of improving tourism infrastructure and increasing India’s global appeal.
This collaboration between state and central government may help speed up the approval, funding, and construction of the park.
