After winning the hearts of millions, the hit web series Panchayat is all set to return with a fifth season. The news has been officially confirmed by Prime Video, who announced that Panchayat Season 5 is already in development and will be released sometime in 2026.
The announcement comes soon after Season 4, which was released on June 24, 2025, and received a great response from fans and critics alike. This rural comedy-drama has become one of the most loved Indian web series since it started streaming on Prime Video in 2018. Over the years, it has won several awards and gained a loyal fanbase, especially for its relatable characters, village setting, and simple yet emotional storytelling.
Panchayat was created by The Viral Fever (TVF) and is written by Chandan Kumar. The series has been directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya. The cast includes Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek (the Secretary), Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav as Pradhanji, Sanvikaa as Rinki, and many other talented actors like Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha.
Prime Video also confirmed that Season 5 will be a part of its 2026 OTT line-up, which means fans don’t have to wait too long.
